Who we are
The idea for the Care Pack Project started as something small between three high school students. Throughout months of planning and working, they finally were able to bring this idea to life in their senior year of high school. Meet the three who brought this organization to what it is now!
Hi! My name is Tori, and I’m the President of the Care Pack Project! I am a competitive rock climber and have been climbing for over nine years now. I wanted to create this non-profit because I’ve always loved being able to give back to my community, and making backpacks for those in need was something I used to do with my parents. I’m looking forward to seeing the impact that this organization can have, and I’m so grateful to be given this opportunity. I hope to be able to expand this non-profit outside of just the DFW area, and to hopefully impact many more lives throughout the country.
Hi! My name is Sophie, and I am the Vice President for the Care Pack Project. I am a varsity cheerleader at Lone Star High School and have been doing it for all four years. I have a passion for business in the floral industry and the joy that flowers can bring, especially to those who feel less valued within our community. I am very excited to part a part of the Care Pack Project and I can’t wait to see what we can do with it.
Hello, my name is Yamin, and I am the Secretary and Treasurer at the Care Pack Project! I am heavily involved in my school and community, participating in the Academic Decathlon and National Honor Society. I have experience in observing a business environment from shadowing a professional in my field. I am super excited to apply my knowledge and experience in order to help benefit our community.
Our Mission Statement
At the Care Pack Project, our mission is to deliver backpacks filled with essential supplies and a personal touch to those in need, including students, teachers, single parents, hospitalized kids, and individuals facing homelessness. By adding flowers and notes into every one of our care packages, we remind every individual that they are seen, valued, and supported by their fellow peers. We strive to connect our community members and students through meaningful service, fostering empathy, dignity, and deeper relationships throughout our community.
Our Purpose
The purpose of the Care Pack Project is to bridge disconnection in our community through care and understanding. We work to ensure that every individual feels recognized and valued, while helping our community grow in compassion and engagement. By serving together, we not only meet the immediate needs of others but also nurture a community rooted in connection, responsibility, and purposeful care.
What we do
Our primary job is taking action with empathy. At the Care Pack Projects, we connect students to our mission in assembling packages of essentials, and foster communal care by including handwritten notes and flowers. Our student volunteers deliver these packages to members of our community in need of connection, creating service opportunities that are both practical and deeply relational. By connecting generations across our community, we not only provide comfort and resources to individuals but also allow chances for leadership, trust, and care to flourish.
Who benefits
The Care Pack Project strengthens our community by uplifting isolated members, particularly those with challenging circumstances. Each delivery provides not only essentials but also a reminder that they are a valuable piece of our puzzle. At the same time, we are equipping students with meaningful experiences to help develop the next generation of compassionate leaders. Together, these experiences create a lasting impact for both those who give and those who receive.
Why Care Pack Project
The Care Pack Project was created to respond to the isolation many members of our community experience, particularly those in difficult or uncomfortable personal circumstances. Too often, individuals are left without consistent connection or affirmations of their value and strength. We believe that addressing this disconnection is just as important as meeting physical needs, and that students can be powerful agents of change when given meaningful ways to serve. We believe that by fostering meaningful and personal connections, we can strengthen the unity of our community and build relationships through shared purpose.
